Meet out revival evangelist
Jimmy Van Loozen and his wife, Susan, have been married for 33 years. They have 4 children and 9 grandchildren. I met Jimmy and Susan several years ago through the Bell Baptist Association. Jimmy is a bi-vocational pastor. Like most bi-vocational pastors, Jimmy works at a full- time job. He is a licensed plumber by trade. In spite of the demands of a full-time job, Jimmy took the time to earn a Certificate in Christian Ministry in 2025 and a Certificate in Christian Studies in 2017, both from Mary Hardin Baylor.
For the past three years Jimmy and Susan have been called to the Luguru people of Tanzania. They have traveled with Teresa and me to Tanzania and will be making regular trips there in the future. In Tanzania they are supporting the evangelism of the mountains near Morogoro, Tanzania…as well as supporting the Morogoro Baptist Primary School in Morogoro as a member of the oversight committee.
But what drew Jimmy to me as an evangelist for this revival was the connection between his heart and the heart of Speegleville Baptist Church. Over the past 18 months Teresa and I have seen your hearts……first on the Transition Team, then through the Core Values Workshop… and more recently through the church council and church committees. You have felt the need for community involvement. You have activities for the youth of this church and of this community. You are involved in the local volunteer fire department. You have a vibrant food pantry.
I have heard Jimmy preach, and I have seen his heart. He loves the Lord…..he loves the church….he loves the community surrounding the church…….and he feels a need for the church and the community to be connected.
Most of all, Jimmy desires to see everyone come to know the true love of Jesus Christ and the peace, joy and abundant life that Jesus promises to those who come to Him.
Be in prayer for God’s anointing of Jimmy as he pours out his heart to you.
