Pastor’s Blog – April 6, 2025

Our church is looking at the possibility of partnering with a school. The issue is not “those who are for the school” vs “those who are against the school.”  The issue is “what is best for the church.”  Those who are for the school point out things that they believe will enhance the mission of the church. The ones who were opposed to the school were pointing out things that might hurt the church in some way. So, everyone was promoting the church….just in different ways. Let’s keep this in mind as we investigate the feasibility of the potential partnership. 

There is one person who doesn’t like the school AND doesn’t like the church. Satan will use this situation to achieve his goal if we let him. His goal is to make this personal to every person, to incense those who feel that the right decision has not been followed and to split the church forever. 

May we set our goal to make sure our individual concerns are fully heard….and then support the decision whichever way it falls.  That is the mark of a true church.
