Community Service and Thanksgiving Boxes

There are two big events happening at the church.

First, this Sunday, November 14, at 10:00 a.m., our church will host the annual Speegleville Community Thanksgiving Service.  In the past this service has been held on the Sunday night before Thanksgiving.  This year we decided to make this a Sunday morning service.

Rev. Kenneth McNeil, pastor of Willow Grove Baptist Church, will be the preacher.

I hope you will make special plans to be a part of this community service.  We will also live-stream this service on the church’s FaceBook page.

Second, our food pantry will be distributing “Thanksgiving Boxes” for the food pantry distribution on November 17 and for some of the families at Speegleville Elementary.  Below is a list of items that are needed for these boxes.  We will be providing turkeys for these meals.  You may bring these food items to church this Sunday, Nov. 14.

Canned Yams

Green Beans

Cream of Chicken Soup

Chicken Broth

Turkey Gravy Mix

Cranberry Sauce

Canned Pumpkin

Jiffy Cornbread Mix

Evaporated Milk

Pancake Mix/Syrup

Stove Top Stuffing

Frozen Pies – Pumpkin/Apple/Pecan or your favorite pie

Rolls

Great things are happening at our church and I look forward to God’s blessings on these activities.

As always, thank you for your continued support for our church. To God be the glory!

Blessings,

Joe Bailey
