From the Pastor–December 2019
Birth announcements represent a joyful occasion. In Luke’s gospel we read about the greatest birth announcement of all time. It is an announcement from an angel to a group of shepherds: “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.” (Luke 2:10b-11)
That birth announcement is what Christmas is all about. Don’t forget, in the busyness of the season, that Christmas is all about God coming in the flesh to be our Lord and Savior.
Christmas at Speegleville is full events that remind us of this special meaning of Christmas. I hope you take time to read the Upcoming Events tab of this web-page to see all that is going on at our church to celebrate the birth of our Lord.
I know that December will be another great month at church, and I look forward to seeing each of you in church during December as we join together to: Worship God, Share Christ, and Build Believers.
Your Pastor,
Joe Bailey
