Children Ministry-October 2019

I recently read through a blog by Megan Woodham called One Step Ministries.  Within that blog she has a post titled “Take Your Kids to Church” from June 2nd this year.  It spoke to me, encouraged me and affirms what we are doing here at Speegleville Baptist Church.  An excerpt is below but let me encourage you to read the whole post at this link: http://www.onestepministries.net/blog/takeyourkidstochurch

“…Take your kids to church. They’ll love it there. It’s the only place where they can go and just be themselves. They don’t have to “be” good enough or smart enough or athletic enough. They don’t have to perform for approval or achievement. They just get to go and hear how much God loves them. Just because they’re them. Just because He created them, they’re valued. Wanted. Their worth isn’t based on the grades they make or their ability to throw a curveball. It’s not dependent on their performance or skill level. And they need a little more of that, don’t you think? A little more grace and a little less pressure. A little more love and a few less demands.”

So, bring your kids to church where we will teach them about Jesus and how much He loves them.  They can be themselves and have fun and learn God’s word with no pressure.  This month we have a full curriculum focused on God’s promises with videos and songs and special snacks and crafts for the stories of Noah, Abraham, Moses and King David.  See you Sunday!

Joyfully,
