What do you say about a new year? New beginnings, new challenges, new outlooks, new adventures, new growth… are all ways you can look at 2019 at Speegleville Baptist Church.
We have been blessed as a church family in 2018 and I believe that in 2019, those blessings will continue for each of us at Speegleville Baptist Church.
I hope you plan on attending the Externally Focused Church Seminar on January 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Dr. Gaynor Yancey from Baylor University will be leading this conference at our church on how to better reach our community for the Lord. This will be a great way to start to the new year with new strategies to reach the needs of our area.
Our student ministry continues to grow, we are thankful for the leadership of Jordan and Tori. The youth will be participating in a Discipleship Now (DNow) Weekend on January 11-13. This promises to be a wonderful time of fellowship and spiritual growth for these students.
Our children’s ministry has experienced growth as well in our church. With the calling of Shauna Suggs as our children’s director, plans are already in place for some exciting activities for our children and their families in the new year. I’m excited about all of the possibilities for our children.
It is a great blessing to serve here, and I look forward to seeing each of you in church during January as we join together to: Worship God, Share Christ, and Build Believers.
